Sledding down a snowy slope, drinking hot coacoa by the fire, spending time with friends, and sleeping in till 10 a.m. Winter break is taking over Haslett High School students’ and staff minds. “It’s all I can think about,” English teacher Jan Shoemaker said. “It’s kind of pathetic.” December 16th through January 3rd is a time of joy, prosparity, and lounging around.
Students and teachers alike are distracted by the holiday plans and just getting a reasonable break from work. Thanksgiving break has come and gone, the countdown for winter has already begun.
